  • Has over 30  years of lecturing experience, and have lectured at Undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) levels. Have also taught and supervised post graduate research students and research associates, and fellows
  • Has successfully supervised over 30 PhD students and Examined over 100 PhD students worldwide in the areas of architecture, Engineering and construction (AEC), and wider areas of the Built and Natural Environments.
  • Has visited over 30 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Australia to lecture, present in conferences, acted as a keynote speaker; provided support in the development of new academic programmes, and training and mentoring academic students and staff. Countries include Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, India, China, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, Canada, America, Brazil, Australia
  • Review of Research Funders of a number of countries – including: UK; Australia; Canada; Malaysia, India.
  • Formerly a Member of the Peer Review College of the UK Economic and Social Sciences Research Council (ESRC) and a member of the Peer Review College of the UK  Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
  • Sits on many Editorial Boards, and National and International Scientific Committees in the wider Architecture, Engineering and Construction Sectors
  • Advisor to International Governments on Policies and Issues associated with Construction and the Built Environment;
  • Reviewer and Assessor of Professorial Appointments from a host of international Universities  - including: UK; Nigeria; India; Australia; South Africa; Canada; Ghana
  • Member of the Mission Group and Academic Organisations: Universities UK; Millions Plus; Cathedrals Group;  Yorkshire Universities;  Member of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU)
